Listening to the new Dream Theater... The lyrics to this song caught me a little off guard. Look at the cover of the single! I haven't watched this video so if the lyrics on the video are off, not my fault...

I'm not entirely sure what they're pointing at through these lyrics (besides the obvious which Violator has pointed out in the comments), especially this part:
"The brotherhood of wisdom
Strength and dignity
Its rituals and secrets
Remain a mystery"
Hmm, not anymore... Well, hopefully this opens up more people to the idea that most people in power are part of the same club... I mean, I'm also hoping that people spot the connection between DT's logo and the Square and Compass + three pillars that I pointed out in previous entries. The first song is about a traumatic car accident, and this is the second song. That's what I like about DT though, their albums have layers and layers of meaning and are fun to listen to and try to figure out.

Wow there's not even layers there, its just plain simple: "WE'RE SINGING ABOUT FREEMASONRY!!!!!" But I guess most people need to be slapped in the face with it these days.
I guess... Their earlier albums are much better at being deep and stuff. ;P
I just wonder which side of it they are truly presenting. Since they use masonry symbols in their logo, I am just a little confused as to which "side" of the issue they're on (despite almost all of us here using those same symbols, although we explain where they're from and what they mean! I hate reducing it to "side A vs. Side B"). I'll have to see what they say in interviews about the song or something.
