WASHINGTON — Children's toys carrying the Barbie and Disney logos have turned up with high levels of lead, according to a California-based advocacy group.
The Center for Environmental Health tested about 250 children's products bought at major retailers and found lead levels exceeded federal limits in seven of them. Lead can cause irreversible brain damage.
Among those with high levels: a Barbie Bike Flair Accessory Kit, a Disney Tinkerbell Water Lily necklace, a Dora the Explorer Activity Tote, two pairs of children's shoes, a belt for boys and a kids' poncho.
California Attorney General Jerry Brown sent letters to Target, Wal-Mart and the other retailers who sold the products, warning that children's goods on their shelves were found to contain illegal levels of lead and should be pulled immediately.
The findings released Tuesday come about a year after a product-safety law ushered in strict limits on the amounts of lead in products made for children.
"Hmm! What's that doing there? Turning our children into vegetables, you say? Nonsense, my daughter always knows what time Hannah Montana is on!"
It's a unique concept according to its creators. A hotel in the French city of Nantes is offering the chance for people to become a hamster.
For 99 euros (£88) a night, visitors to the hotel in Nantes can feast on hamster grain, get a workout by running in a giant wheel and sleep in hay stacks in the suite called the "Hamster Villa".
It is the latest venture from owners Frederic Tabary and Yann Falquerho, who run a company which rents out unusual venues to adventure-seekers. Both architects, the men designed the room in an 18th century building to resemble the inside of a hamster's cage.
"The hamster in the world of children is that little cuddly animal. Often, the adults who come here have wanted or did have hamsters when they were small," said Mr Falquerho, who was dressed as a hamster.
However, the price is soon to go up as today's hamsters need, according to the owners, Wifi and a giant TV screen.
Ventura, California - US Army Specialist Alexis Hutchinson, a single mother, is being threatened with a military court-martial if she does not agree to deploy to Afghanistan, despite having been told she would be granted extra time to find someone to care for her 11-month-old son while she is overseas.
Hutchinson, of Oakland, California, is currently being confined at Hunter Army Airfield near Savannah, Georgia, after being arrested. Her son was placed into a county foster care system.
Hutchinson has been threatened with a court martial if she does not agree to deploy to Afghanistan on Sunday, Nov. 15. She has been attempting to find someone to take care of her child, Kamani, while she is deployed overseas, but to no avail.
Every now and then I'll wake up feeling like I'm lost and alone. My mind finds ways to hurt itself, even after I have managed to give up just a little of my humanity in order to cope with the soulless, unfeeling people around me. Something is really bothering me about the way things work out... Some people have chosen to be a poison in my veins, when I did nothing to deserve such treatment. Life to them seems to be a paranoid, selfish game that I don't feel much like playing anymore.
All I can say is that I'm a much different person than many people think.
A friend and I were discussing saturday morning cartoons, a staple of our childhood. I stopped being interested in saturday morning programming once it was overflowing with Anime shows, whether they were actually produced by the japanese or if they were shoddy American attempts at that style. Actually, around that time, I had already long outgrown the saturday morning ritual. I'm not sure, but the title I had for this post was familiar which made me think I already did a post with this title, so I added a "2" just to be safe.
Anyway, here are some openings to some current saturday morning shows for children:
This one's called "Huntik: Secrets and Seekers" (Hunt IK/9-11? Secrets and seekers? Wow).
The first thing I noticed was the insanely cheesy music. Second thing was the use of the 4 elemental colors for 4 of the characters. As if the "rainbow" theme wasn't already apparent enough, the credits inform us that this show was made "In Co-Production with Rainbow. It pops up at around 0:25 in. The song says "Huntik, keep the faith and you'll survive". I'm having trouble analyzing this one because it's hard to watch, just watch it yourself and you'll notice pretty much everything else I did. Seekers and secrets, indeed.
Next up - GogoRiki. Once again, the "IK/9-11" theme in the title, along with a GG/77. I think this one's pretty self-explanatory:
Guess how many of those little bastards there are? 9. There's nine of them.
Here we have "Dinosaur King". Yet another "IK", this time reversed. The main character has Pan horns. In this show, like many others, they use cards (tarot) for battles and other shit.
Next. Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight. The main logo has a dragon forming an infinity symbol.
The youtube video has this small description of the show: "the show's bout 13 people duking it out to the death to save earth". The 13 and the whole "Dragon Knight" thing is making me think Templars.
next we have "Sonic X". (Ma)sonic Cross? This one also has a slightly more veiled "IK", in the end of the word "SonIC", so it's Son/Sun 9-11. His blue coloring is also symbolic.
Here's a description - "While trying to retrieve the 7th Chaos Emerald from Dr. Eggman, Sonic and his friends are transported to the human world where Sonic is rescued by a boy named Chris(t). Now the race is on to keep Dr. Eggman away from the powerful Chaos Emeralds and from taking over the World."
This show is called "Chaotic". Do I really need to point out the "IK" thing again?
I'll probably update this post with more stuff, but I'm pretty much blown away by this point. Watch the videos and do your own synchromysticizing, or analysis, or whatever.
Two things about the IK/9-11 symbol - 9+11 is 20, which can then be turned into ZO/OZ. Another is the 11-9/K9/Dog thing.
Deep under the ocean, there is a species of crab that eats trees.
The crab survives by eating wood that has sunk to the ocean floor, comprising trunks and leaves swept into the sea, as well as the odd shipwreck.
Inside the stomach of the crab, also called a squat lobster, are bacteria and fungi that help digest the wood.
The discovery, published in the journal Marine Biology, adds to evidence that these so-called 'wood falls' help support special underwater communities.
"At first sight, it seems improbable," says PhD student Caroline Hoyoux of the University of Liège, Belgium.
"Munidopsis andamanica is a species only found in the deep sea and yet it eats 'terrestrial food'," she says.
The crab is a Moon resonator. Monsieur Kevin at Live from the Logosphere has posted about "zombie energy" traveling through the Crab Nebula and approaching Earth. I wonder if that has anything to do with the recent shootings? In my opinion, you have to be completely stripped of your humanity (Zombified) in order to kill another human being. This recently-discovered crab that eats trees (Tree of Life, Plant Consciousness/Consciousness as a whole) that lives deep in the ocean (a reference to deep-space) may be yet another clue as to what will happen during the 6th night.
In the Tree of Life, Yesod/9/The Moon/Crab represents Foundation. This page has this factoid about Yesod:
"With the Moon being seen as the ruler of the tides and thus Water Yesod is related to the Seas of Binah and in fact it can be also compared with a deep sea."
Interesting... Yesod also represents the Unconscious Mind. This crab devours trees (consciousness). In terms of the Crab Nebula energy, it devours the human's consciousness leaving them unconscious.
This adds yet another layer to the Moon-ZOmbie theme, as Zombies are unconscious beings.
