Trance Meditation

I regularly practice entering a trance state, in process both clearing and relaxing my mind so that other aspects of my conscious being can be explored. It isn't addictive in the least and provides a calming and soothing alternative to pretending to be a slave robot. Caution: If you already have really bad dreams, these methods may allow you to become conscious and take control in those situations. The thing is, just because you're more aware inside this dream-state doesn't mean all your bad dreams will go away but they will appear a little "sillier", I don't feel "fear" in my bad dreams which usually involve large spiders or associated bitey bugs.

Here's my method, as I learned in Robert Bruce's books NEW Energy Ways and Astral Dynamics: Lie down or sit in an armchair and work on relaxing your entire body (this part can be hard). While breathing rhythmically and deeply, mentally count each "out" breath 1-10, then repeat counting each 'out' breath 1 through 10. Each entire breathe-in-breathe-out cycle should be one number. Try to keep your mind clear during the "in" breath. Once you get in the rhythm, make sure you don't think about any images or sentences that are forming in your internal screen. Just focus on the back of your eyelids, stable and still in eternal nothingness. Sound scary? There's NOTHING to be afraid of.

To go deeper, Visualization is an amazing tool of the mind to, in essence, project your consciousness into whatever you so choose. It is a large part of what creates reality around us. It's different from "imagining" in that you're not simply painting an image in your mind, you're convincing yourself in it. Try visualizing this - You're in a green field during summer. You can feel the open space around you, the grass under your feet, the sun's warmth shining upon you. You take shade under a tree, cooling off and feeling refreshed in this beautiful atmosphere. You can utilize visualization to enter a deep trance like so: Visualize yourself into a descending elevator. Remember how it feels to descend the floors of a building while inside an elevator. This elevator has no end but you can get off anytime you want. Hold onto this visualization, and if you feel thoughts coming back (and you will), on each and every out breath mentally repeat the mantra "Down" while keeping your mind clear and enjoying the ride on each IN breath. This will allow you access into the subconscious, the oceanic "floating" aspect of being.

Beyond this point, you can project your consciousness into a "real-time" copy of your etheric body which is floating "above" your physical body when you sleep (in a higher dimension). This requires full-body energy-raising (which includes briefly stimulating Energy Centers, known widely as Chakras, which are real), which is a whole book on its own (although not hard in the least) so I'm not going to include it here, but the methods that I've given should be enough to get your head through the door. Try it! Studying and applying these methods will give you more insight into the ways that people who aren't on your side are using certain aspects of being (such as the trance state) against us.
