Why am I even bringing up this creature? A baby aardvark was brought into Detroit Zoo today. Its name is the swahili word for Peace. Isn't it cute? From the link - "The aardvark (Orycteropus afer) is an African mammal whose name derives from the Afrikaans word 'earth pig.'" And, apparently, they can't tell what sex the infant is. It is currently an androgynous earth pig.
