Snuggie Cult

Update: Is anyone else getting Snuggie ads in the bottom of the video window? Is that the definition of irony or what? ... It's not? Oh. Right. Also, don't Snuggies remind you of those robes the people from the future in Demolition Man were wearing? I might do a write-up of that movie...

Okay... This actually had me laughing, because Snuggies do look like something you would expect a "whacko cult member" to wear, and this is my first time actually seeing a video of people wearing them. However, this dude's attitude is kind of weird... It's hard to put my finger on it. It's kind of like he's exploiting horrifying truths for a few laughs.

I have a friend who was in a cult when he was really young called the Swan Center. I'm guessing the Swan part is from Swan Lake, where the black swan kills the white swan (evil overcoming good). He told me the swan represented Spirit. He is one of those people obsessed with earning money even if he has to work an incredibly shitty job, and I am quite the opposite. I think he's a little brainwashed, especially from the way he acts when I bring up subjects which go into occult matters (which I usually will when I realize he is guilting me into working in a decrepit system) which is close to "robotized murderer". I think he still has some triggers. When I told him some really interesting things which I had learned about the world in which we live, he acted like I had spoiled a movie for him. Like I had told him things he "wasn't supposed to know yet". He's kind of a dark person but doesn't actually rebel against anything, especially when it comes to social circumstances. I am not a party-goer but he is and managed to drag me out to some parties which I ended up hating, but he seemed to feed off of an energy in the room which I was repelled by. Pretty weird...

He has smoked salvia before, and he said that when he did, his eyes turned inward and he saw three reptilian beings inside of himself. This kind of made me paranoid, and then recently I found this picture of Buddha:



He was one of my roommates in atlanta, after the apartment I lived in where I smoked Salvia, and I couldn't talk about any of the subjects I was interested in with him. He always acted awkward, but maybe it was from my approach and my perspective at the time which was pretty heavy, at least to those who are so into this ritualistic day-in-day-out cycle which I am sick of, and they don't want to change for reasons of "security". He had books about Atlantis and stuff, and when he did "theorize" (like I would all the time, especially when it came to synchronicity), his ideas were cool and made some sense, though they were a little more fatalistic than my ideas. Here's another thing: He's older than me by 3 years. He didn't believe one word I said because of the age difference!

That seems to be a problem I'm having lately... People are looking down on me because of my age. I'm also not the tallest person in the world and this guy towers over me. He felt he had the right to see my ideas as "crazy" because he is taller and older than me, both being PHYSICAL aspects. It is these types of situations and circumstances which I am starting to dislike. People in his mindset will perpetuate the endless cycle of viewing others as inadequate to one's "great" presence. It's not even hypocrisy, it's just a defense measure. How can any change take place when your blinders are up and you can't see anything around you for what it really is because you're scared of having pieces of paper (money) taken away from you? Some people are just out to dominate others to feel good about themselves. I feel sorry for both parties involved in the domination-submission ritual cycle.
