A Universal Picture starring Kurt Russell. Kurt was also seen flying towards the Twin Towers in Escape from New York and traveling through a Stargate in the movie Stargate. This movie permeates a definite aura of dread through the music and editing, which is something I've always been attracted to for some reason. "Directed by John Carpenter" appears just before a UFO is shown flying towards earth, then the title appears.
Antarctica, Winter, 1982 - A helicopter showing "KK" appears!

Now, a wolf/DOG running through the white snow -

The men in the KKCopter are attempting to shoot the dog. Ties to current events can be found here with the combination of animal hunting in snowy landscapes. Is that you, Sarah Palin(genesis)? Their destination is the United States National Science Institute Station 4. Inside, men are playing Ping Pong while another man revealed to be Kurt Russell fills his cup with ice with J&B (Jachin and Boaz, twin pillars) in the scene.

He is at the console of a "Chess Wizard" machine!

He is checkmated by the machine and then pours his J&B into the Checkerboard Console, causing it to Spark. "Cheatin' bitch!"

The men in the copter are still chasing after the dog, which leads them to Station 4. One man in the group at the station says they are NOrwegian. They land in the snow after tossing a grenade at the dog, still missing it. Yet they provided a nice "explosion" to go with the Dog Star.

In this shot, the man in the foreground dropped one of the live grenades next to the KKopter, and the second man attempted (and failed) to cover it with snow, exploding himself and the heli. The norwegian guy says something, obviously intimidated by the dog who has now taken cover with the Station 4 boys, and fires his gun at the dog, instead hitting one man in the knee. He continues chasing the dog. A man inside the station fires his pistol through a shattered window, hitting the norwegian guy right in the eye. Notice the "Ski-dOZer" vehicles in the shot.

This next shot reminds me of the Black Monolith scene at the beginning of 2001: A Space Odyssey, as the men in utter confusion as to what's happening surround the exploded Kopter flames. Take note that one man was burned to death in this fire, making it a sort of Fire Ritual to mark off the beginning of all the death in this movie.

Below, this guy dressed in green, takes care of the Dog. Orion and Canis Major. He says "Easy, easy.." Yes, it was quite easy to point out this symbolizm

A man wearing Blue is attempting and failing to contact the outside, while wearing shades indoors. The Blue chakra (throat) is that of communication. "Great. NObody!" he says. A frustrated guy tells him "Get a hold of anybody, we gotta report this mess". He hasn't been able to "reach shit in 2 weeks" 77. The man who is telling him to reach somebody bears the green and yellow of the Left Brain.

A Black Star wearing roller skates glides through the halls and reaches a room saying "Maybe we're at war with Norway", observing the norwegian man with his eye shot out (leaving him with only One Eye) Notice the small checkerboard on the right side of the screen.

A man named Palmer wearing blue and green lights up a roach, communicating with plant (green) consciousness. He says "I was wondering when El Capitan was gonna get a chance to use his POP gun"!

In the shot below, the pool cues cue an 11:11 next to 3 pillars syncing with the Black Star.

Above, we see aquarian neon blue lights emanate from the head of the man reading papers. He reveals that there were 8 other men stationed with the 2 norwegian guys. They are about to head up to the station, it will be one hour there and one hour back.
On the station 4 helicopter are the numbers 452, adding up to 11. MacReady (Kurt Russell) is chosen to make the trip to the norwegian station, being a pilot and all, in his Merkaba-11-Chariot.

Back inside Station 4 at night, some funky clav music played by the Black Star's radio accompanies a few shots: Looking through a doorway, inside of the room containing the neon blue aquarius lights, and the Dog Star walking through a hallway.
Below you can see some Sirius symbolism in the form of a dome, obelisks and five flags forming a five pointed star.

MacReady and Doc arrive at the Norwegian station, which is in shambles with Black (death) smoke rising out of it. The 452 is on both doors of the helicopter, making it an 11:11 chariot.

They enter the building, and Mac (Kam) has to be reminded that they are norwegian, not swedish, a second time. We are shown a line of blood leading to a frozen corpse sitting in a chair/throne, and a not-so-subtle Eye inside of a Pyramid.

"Mac!" says Doc upon finding this, and Mac picks up his promethean torch-lantern to investigate the find.

Guy in the chair killed himself, with his blood frozen coming out of his arm and throat. Grim. Mac and Doc then find a giant Ice Monolith, to sort of balance out the Fire monolith seen earlier.

Might just be me, but there's an OX in this scene, formed by the panel to the left of the kerosene canister and the X on said canister. Look for yourself below:

The camera then pans to a charred clump of corpses. Burned up "quick" in a fire ritual.

The Dog Star observes Mac returning to Station 4 in the 11:11 chariot.

Mac and Doc brought the charred corpse clump with them to Station 4. The smell emanating from it causes Mr. Green and Yellow to gag and cough.

El Capitan, wearing a Blue and Yellow robe, wakes up the Communications guy with static through his headphones, saying "Did you reach anyone yet?" to which Radio guy replies "Reach anybody? We're a thousand miles from NOwhere, man, it'll get a hell of a lot worse before it gets any better"

In the Autopsy room, Green and Yellow man removes a HEART from the corpseclump. This ties in to Fire Rituals.

After the Dog startles one of the men, he tells the Green man seen eariler to put it in the kennel with the rest of the dogs. Once inside, the dog starts breathing heavily and acting strange, causing the other dogs to bark and panic. The weird dog's head splits open into a five pointed star and tentacles and spider legs emerge from its back. Dog lovers, avoid this scene at all costs. The dog being chased by the Norwegians was actually carrying an alien, waiting until it was around other forms similar to its host so that it could integrate with them.
Mac hears the whining of the dogs and pulls a FIRE alarm. Bennings tells Childs "Mac wants the FLAMEthrower". They enter the kennnel area and begin firing at the Dog Alien with shotguns. Its hands have 3 fingers, a theme explored elsewhere, and we are given a shot of its Singular Eyes:

Childs arrives with the flamethrower and "torches" it. More burning/fire ritual.

An autopsy is then performed on the charred remains of the dog alien. Similar to the way we are "deconstructing" events which are being played out in the world, but in a more visceral fashion. "What we're talking about here is an organism which imitates other life forms, and it imitates them perfectly. When this thing attacked our dogs it tried to digest them. Absorb them. And in the process shape its own cells to imitate them. We got to it before it had time to finish." "Finish what?" "Finish imitating these dogs."

It turns out, through watching videos filmed by the Norwegian crew, that the Norwegians had stumbled upon the UFO seen in the beginning of the movie stuck in ice. So we have an Alien Seed Virus theory being played out on the big screen. And not only that, it is ANCIENT ice that the UFO was found in, at least 100,000 years old. Ancient Astronaut theory.

Back at Station 4, Childs says "I can't believe any of this voodoo bullshit" to which Palmer replies "It's been happening for years, they're falling out of the skies like flies. Government knows all about it, right Mac?" he then brings up Chariots of the Gods. "They practically own south america. They taught the Incas everything they know" Mr. Green and Yellow (Blair) appears completely dumbfounded. Figures, he represents the left brain...

Blair focuses on the screen above while running tests. I find it funny that in reference to this screen, 75% of people in america are Christians. One of the men brings Mac into a ski-dOZer vehicle and tells him that Blair is acting strangely. Turns out Blair is going insane trying to cope with what's happening. The corpseclump seen eariler is revealed to have an alien still alive inside of it, and it assimilates with Bennings. He is found outside by the rest of the crew, one says "It isn't Bennings"

Mac then uses a flare and barrel of gasoline to burn the alien/Bennings alive.

While Mac is burning the rest of Bennings' remains, Blair runs off somewhere and is now missing. Notice in this shot the prominence of Blue and Yellow, Mac's knight-ish hood and the illuminated archway in the background.

Blair is then seen exiting the helicopter and running through the Archway-Tunnel.

MacReady checks out the helicopter, which Blair has sabotaged, and then gunshots are heard. Blair is freaking out with a gun and smashing up the radio equipment with an axe, in an attempt to keep his "infected" crew members from reaching the outside world. Blair is then subdued after nearly killing everyone and ruining any chances of their escaping. Way to go.
Blair's now locked up in a tool shed. He says to Mac "I don't know who to trust". Mac says "Trust is a hard thing to come by these days". Blair tells Mac to "watch Clark" a.k.a the green guy who takes care of the dogs.
Doc proposes that they do a Blood Serum test to see which crew members are human or not. They have blood already stored in a cooler, but it has been sabotaged by an unknown force.

That's all for this half. Part 2 will be up tomorrow.
