Snail Slide (update)

I was thinking a snail dragon would be really cool looking so I might draw one... Not that it could ravage any villages or hoard treasure efficiently... A friend of mine came up with "WyrmSlvg" (wyrm slug) as a band name but I think "snail dragon" is pretty unoriginal anyway. *sigh* I would at least make it look ferocious.

See, mine would look way cooler than that. It would be flying and spitting napalm and dripping slime. It would also be pestering a gardener.

Rough, rough draft... You get the idea.

Andre - Thanks! I used MSpaint, I have a lot of experience with it. That took me maybe 10-15 minutes to draw, I'm probably going to do a hand-drawn version soon, it will definitely look like more time was put into it..

Wikipedia says the Dragon in the Chinese Zodiac is represented by a snail in some other countries, so that's where I initially found the connection... Just thought it was weird.

tommy,

Let me suggest a couple of GNU Lic. (FREE!) progs that will prove to be invaluable to your artistic work.

I've used A LOT of graphics progs and these two are the best FREE ones out there. (in fact I often use them over progs costing $1000's)

Inkscape
for instruction google: inkscape tutorial

GIMP
for instruction google: gimp tutorial

Some of the images and 3d clipart I've created with those two have been featured on several graphics sites.

I have a copy of Photoshop, but thanks anyway. I use MSpaint because it's easy and when I want to get an idea out quickly it works well enough. "Back to basics".

Yep! Inkscape and GIMP are good, but Photoshop is my Graphic God (smile). Of course, Illustrator is a requisite for vector drawings.

Again,nice work, Tommy!

Whoa... sure... make a simple constructive suggestion and get pummeled into the altar by the Adobe worshippers!

LOL

Lemme see u graphics wiznerds try to pull these off in "Photo$lop"!
(j/k! I use it 2 :)

Map Jail Building
Lord of the Ring
Soda Can

All done in Inkscape (SVG) then exported jpeg in GIMP.
The can took the longest at about 20 minutes.
