Bagram: The New Guantanamo

Just thought they used some interesting terms in this article about "Obama's Guantanamo"... Looks like we'll be hearing about this place more throughout the year (or not?). BagRAM/Aries/Mars, ties into the Mars/War theme...

Bagram: Is it Obama’s new Guantanamo?

Should detainees the United States has shipped to the Bagram air base in Afghanistan have the same constitutional right to challenge their detention in court that prisoners at the Guantanamo prison in Cuba have been given?

President Barack Obama didn't answer that question in a May 21 speech outlining his policy for dealing with alleged terrorists. In fact, Obama didn't mention Bagram at all.

Yet human rights lawyers say Bagram will play a critical role in shaping the Obama administration’s detainee policy.

Now for the part that caught my attention (not that people being imprisoned unjustly doesn't catch my attention or anything):

Obama has promised to close the Guantanamo prison by Jan. 22 of next year, but the Bagram prison continues to house alleged terrorists captured by the United States in Pakistan and other nations.

As a candidate for president, Obama praised a Supreme Court ruling last June that granted prisoners at Guantanamo habeas corpus rights to challenge their detention. He applauded Justice Anthony Kennedy’s decision in Boumediene v. Bush as “a rejection of the Bush administration's attempt to create a legal black hole at Guantanamo.”

They were trying to create a black hole at Guantanamo? I guess they can write that into the plot of the video game... So, they are going to shut down Guantanamo, but the same type of crimes against humanity will be continued at Bagram (and, of course, the enslavement of our minds through deliberately misguiding education, spiritual slavery through what I want to call "teaser syncs" or "false enlightenment", and the trafficking of sex slaves, a subject which I feel is better left for other blogs to delve into since I am not an encyclopedia of information on the subject) and everywhere else tyranny reigns...

The "Prison Camp" theme is making the rounds. It seems to represent the "current" state of things, if we look at human progress as "history" has taught us, we never left the slave state. No one is truly and wholly free at this point, and those who are even slightly more free to do as they please, through material wealth (usually not gained in the sense us commoners like to gain things), use their privileges for greedy, selfish things. About the CERN stargate - I think the Pseudo-Elite are trying to make the world such a shitty place that even if "good aliens" do come, they will be greeted by a select few people and will probably turn away in disgust (unless, if a certain phase I went through meant anything, they are already attempting to communicate with us through those willing to receive the signal, but a few people think it could be trickery of some sort)... And if "bad aliens" come, we are in serious trouble. Either way, we need to take care of things here on Earth before we even begin to think about space, alien visitors, or "higher spiritual existence". Wouldn't a spiritual existence be kind of crappy at this point in time, all things considered?

Although-

My dreams have been great lately... I would consider dreaming the closest we can get to our ideal existence right now, more rooted in intuition than rationality. It just sucks we can't quite fully integrate the experience into our daily reality, unless you want to be completely mind-controlled and blissfully ignorant of the horror show playing out just behind the veil of corporate heroism and messianic dictators.

Turns out this guy is a Furry (I was worried people would think I was one with my fox avatar, I've been accused before, not sure why. My avatar is now "Mr. Twig", he told MPD'd Mr. Garrison to follow his heart.), typical dehumanized type shambling about the lower reaches of internet Hell. So much to hate about this story, it's almost got an "agent provocateur" feel to it...
