"Toddlers and Tiaras" - Filmed in Pedovision

Okay, this is new to me. I haven't scrolled through a TV menu or really looked too deep into what's going on in TV land these days (in person, at least, I read plenty of blogs which tell me everything I need to know about it), so seeing this is pretty much a kick in the teeth. I asked one of my friends what "Jon and Kate Plus 8" was, since I have no clue what it is and I'm not sure what made me care all of a sudden, but then he brought this up and I asked him what it was. He sent me this link, and all I can think is "what the fuck is wrong with the people involved in bringing us this trash"? Meaning the people who organize these pedophile conventions, the people who voluntarily enter their children into them, the people who decided it would make a good TV show, and the people who watch this shit. Everyone involved with this is very fucked up, unfortunately including the children involved. I've noticed a trend in exposing young children to matters which they should really not be involved with, as is the case with shows like Wife Swap, which I have only seen fleeting glimpses of in my failed attempts to avoid television at all costs. Even shows like "Jon and Kate Plus 8" seem to be the same old "growing up with camera crews" that we're all desensitized to. This "toddlers and tiaras" show has a target demographic, and it's definitely not middle-aged moms sitting at home with nothing to do. TLC is still "the learning channel", but you're only learning that TV is fucked up and should be abandoned entirely in its current state.


I apologize if this is old news, but it disturbed me to the point where I needed to vent.
