At the beginning of the movie, Captain Kirk's father sacrifices himself by flying his ship into Nero's mining vessel. This reminded me of the first plane flying into the World Trade Center tower. His son is born just before he does this, giving Stargate resonance.
Here is his ship flying towards the mining vessel (which to me looked like it had cephalopod tentacles, and seems to act as sort of a "Dark Pillar", clearer shot below):

Here is shortly after Kirk sr. crashes his ship into the vessel, with a big star behind it:

Just after this scene fades out, the title of the movie appears.
Now, it's already interesting that the guy who did this act extremely similar to the 9/11 attacks is considered a hero. But they aren't finished opening the stargate yet.
Spoilers below, for anyone who cares.
During the climax/end of the movie, Spock flies his ship full of Red Matter (which creates black holes/stargates) into the mining vessel. He is teleported out of the ship at the last second and survives (no surprise there). Both Spock and Kirk Sr. flew their ships into the sphincter-shaped thing on the dark mining vessel (or its beak, if you want to think of it as a gigantic space cephalopod), which is even more stargate resonance.

Spock's Red Matter ship has a Masonic/Solar Cross inside of it. His seat is triangular. A screen of it can be found in the last post.

The Red Matter which was in the sacrificed ship/9-11 plane creates a black hole/stargate (this, to me, seems to signify a blood sacrifice, blood being the "red matter"):

The mining vessel is destroyed and the Enterprise barely escapes being sucked into the newly-created stargate.
To be honest, the time travel stuff in this movie still confuses the crap out of me (the black holes somehow have a "time travel" mode as well as a "destroy everything in sight" mode, it also only took a tiny droplet of the red matter to destroy an entire planet but they decided to fly their entire supply of the stuff into the mining vessel, maybe they don't want the red stuff to be available to anyone anymore for obvious reasons), but maybe piecing that together will provide even more clues as to what this movie is trying to reveal (besides the whole "masons were responsible for 9/11" thing that seems to be apparent here).
The first step of the stargate ritual in this movie was to birth James T. KirK/Horus, and the second step was to "destroy" Nero/Green Man/Osiris, or rather send him and his dark pillar through the Black Hole/Stargate.
I also watched Titanic recently (yes, it was very hard to sit through), and noticed a whole bunch of stargate/9-11 stuff going on with the whole shipwreck scene, so I might have a post up detailing that soon.
